The Heart Behind Barre2Barre

I've been dancing since I was three years old, and throughout the years, I've seen firsthand how much time, money, and energy go into making and/or buying dance costumes and attire. This year, not only my mom but my grandmother spent three full days creating a cancan costume for only two shows. This experience not only showed me how many sewing machines, sequins, and tulle could be used for one costume but also how unsustainable and costly this part of dance can be. Not every family or parent has the time or resources to dedicate to dance attire, and it made me realize how many young dancers might miss out simply because of those barriers. That's when Barre2Barre was born- a way to make dance accessible and inclusive for everyone who shares this passion.

Our Purpose

At Barre2Barre, our mission is simple yet powerful: to eliminate the financial obstacles that prevent young girls and boys from entering the world of dance. We strive to create a supportive environment where every child's love for dance can flourish, unhampered by economic limitations.
